The report comes from g80.bimmerpost. A user on the forum stated that a “very special limited edition M4 will be produced for just a few months. starting November 2022.”

The report comes from BMW Blog and g80.bimmerpost. The former caught a post on the forum wherein the user stated that a “very special limited edition M4 will be produced for just a few months. starting November 2022.” BMW Blog noted that this user has a good track record with such things, so it can’t be passed off as a baseless rumor. However, there is still no confirmation surrounding it, so we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt.

The post also mentioned that the car “mostly configured like the CSL but with manual transmission, several options (comfort access, parking sensors, electric seats) deleted, and the forged wheels off G81.”

It’s A Big Milestone And An M4 Special Edition Won’t Do It

All said and done, it may not be just an M4 edition. There are posts on the forum that talk about 50 Jahre models, but again, that’s something we might see during the year and it won’t be the special model. Motor1 has speculated that an 8 Series coupe that was spotted this year at the Nürburgring could be the one. But, you never know. If you were to ask us, we would speculate it to be an electric successor to the M1. However, take this with a pinch of salt, too. We would’ve guessed the M8 CSL to be the one, but this is already ruled out by BMW.

There’s One Thing That We’re Sure Of

BMW recently revealed that every M high-performance car that will be produced from March 2022 will feature a special logo that’s inspired by the classic ‘BMW Motorsport Logo’. The classic logo is a series of semicircles in blue, red, and violet shades. Each color has a meaning. Blue stands for BMW, red for motorsport, and violet is the unique combination of the two. The logo will be slapped on the front, rear, and wheel hubs. The classic logo has a rich history. It was first used in 1973. What we also know is that the company will come up with historically accurate M paint finishes, like the Dakar Yellow, Fire Orange, Daytona Violet, Macao Blue, Imola Red, or the Frozen Marina Bay Blue.

Final Thoughts

Now, all we can do is be on the lookout for the slightest of hints and try to connect the dots. At the moment all we know is that a special model is being planned, but have close to no idea what it could be. It will be quite a bummer if it turns out to be a special edition based on the M4. What we can vouch for is that it will be a limited-production model with an exorbitant price tag.

What do you think this could be? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section.

2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Sport Brings Off-Road Capabilities To The Road

With room for up to seven, the fifth-generation 4Runner remains the most capable of its proud family tree, and it is also the most accommodating and most comfortable. Other changes for 2022 make a great SUV even better across all grades. All models now have standard LED high beams, in addition to the LED low beams and fog lights that were already standard on most grades. Blind Spot Monitor + Rear Cross Traffic Alert is now standard on SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road Premium, TRD Pro and Limited (and part of an available package on TRD Sport).

With the addition of the TRD Sport, the 4Runner line for 2022 includes the SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited and TRD Pro.

The burly 4Runner TRD Pro adds standard Multi-Terrain Monitor to its roster of off-road tech. Using strategically placed cameras, the system lets the driver check surroundings on the trail, with the ability to spot potential obstacles not easily seen from the cabin. The Limited grade adds a standard Panoramic View Monitor, which provides a similar function for checking surroundings when maneuvering the vehicle in tight spaces. The Limited grade and TRD models also add a premium Multi-Information Display.

All 4Runner models add Rear Occupancy Alert. When operational parameters are met, the system does what its name suggests, reminding a driver to check the rear seat for a child or pet before exiting the vehicle.

Road-Hugging TRD Sport

Similar to Toyota’s mid-size Tacoma truck sibling, the new 4Runner TRD Sport grade joins 4Runner TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro models in the line. Where the latter two add trail-ready equipment and features designed for tackling tough terrain, the TRD Sport sharpens its road-focused manners with sophisticated chassis technology while adding style and flair. The result is an exceptional combination of style and performance in a full-capability SUV.

With an emphasis on everyday comfort and road dynamics, the 2022 4Runner TRD Sport adds the Cross-Linked Relative Absorber System (X-REAS) suspension to enhance on-road handling. The X-REAS system, also found on the 4Runner Limited grade, automatically adjusts the damping force of shock absorbers when driving over bumpy surfaces or when cornering. A center control absorber cross-links the shock absorbers on opposite corners of the vehicle, like an “X,” to help reduce pitch and yaw by offsetting opposing inputs.

The 4Runner TRD Sport is available with either 2WD or part-time 4WD with a 2-speed transfer case. The 2WD 4Runners provide an ample 9.0 inches of ground clearance, while 4WD models offer an even more generous 9.6 inches. Based on the SR5 grade, the 2022 4Runner TRD Sport swaps the SR5’s 17-inch wheels for machine-faced 20-inch wheels with Dark Gray accents. All 4Runners come equipped with a full-sized spare tire, regardless of their wheel size.

TRD Sport Style and Tech

The TRD Sport gets its own look with color-keyed accents on the grille, rocker panels and body molding, plus the signature TRD-style hood scoop and a front spoiler and black roof rails. Inside, the 4Runner TRD Sport replaces the SR5 grade’s cloth seat surfaces with black SofTex-trimmed seats, also adding heated front seats. The seats feature unique gray contrast stitching, and the front headrests have gray TRD stitched logos. TRD Sport floor mats are included, and a standard TRD shift knob completes the cabin makeover.

Standard features carried over to the new TRD Sport include an 8-way power driver’s seat, leather-trimmed tilt/telescopic steering wheel, air conditioning with rear seat vents and pollen filter and power-sliding liftgate window. A 4.2-inch multi-information display provides the driver with readouts for outside temperature, odometer, trip meters, fuel economy estimate averages and TSS-P features, including Lane Departure Alert and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

The 4Runner TRD Sport features a standard 8-inch multimedia touchscreen display. In addition to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa compatibility, the system includes a USB media port, hands-free phone capability, advanced voice recognition and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology and a SiriusXM® 3-month All Access trial. Connected Services include Safety Connect® with 1-year trial and Wi-Fi Connect with up to 3 GB or 1-month trial, whichever comes first.

Toyota Safety Sense P Standard for All

All 2022 4Runner models come standard with Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P), an advanced suite of driver-assist technologies that includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Sway Warning System, Automatic High Beams and High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

Along with TSS-P, 4Runner models also come equipped with Toyota’s Star Safety System that includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with traction control (TRAC, or A-TRAC with 4WD) and Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and the Smart Stop Technology (SST) brake-override system.

Eight standard airbags include driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System; front seat-mounted side airbags; driver and front passenger knee airbags; and all-row, roll-sensing side curtain airbags.

The Ready-for-Adventure SUV

4Runner’s inherent strength starts with its tough-as-nails, body-on-frame construction featuring a four-link rear axle and coil-spring suspension, with the Limited grade and new TRD Sport also adding X-REAS to their suspension features. The robust chassis is also the foundation of 4Runner’s comfortable ride quality.

A 270-horsepower DOHC 4.0-liter V6 engine with 278 lb.-ft. of peak torque gives 4Runner plenty of get-up-and-go. The engine’s Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) helps optimize torque across the engine’s operating range responsiveness in a variety of driving conditions.

Mated to the V6 is a five-speed ECT-i automatic transmission that includes a sequential shift mode for manually shifting when more control is desired. Like all 4Runner grades, the TRD Sport is equipped with a standard integrated tow-hitch receiver and wiring harness. All models can tow a maximum of 5,000 pounds, with a maximum 500-pound tongue weight.

All 4Runner 2WD models feature standard Automatic Limited Slip Differential (Auto LSD), a function of the traction control (TRAC) that allows some wheel slippage to help the vehicle dig out from sand or snow, for example. The available part-time 4WD system uses Active Traction Control (A-TRAC) and bolsters off-road capability with a 2-speed transfer case with selectable low-range. By distributing drive force to any one wheel in contact with the ground, A-TRAC can help maintain traction when it senses wheel slippage occurring on terrain irregularities and slippery patches.

Exclusive to the 4Runner Limited, a full-time 4WD system uses a Torsen center differential with locking feature and a three-mode, center console-mounted switch. The system employs a 40:60 torque split in most driving situations and alters that in response to slippage. In addition, if the front wheels are slipping while the vehicle is turning, the Torsen® differential changes the split to 30:70. If the rear wheels slip while the vehicle is turning, the split changes to 53:47.

Maximum Traction Tech

The Toyota 4Runner offers the right tool for the off-road mission, because some people go farther off the beaten path than others. An array of technologies enhance the capability provided by the 4Runner’s high-strength chassis and available 4WD. Standard Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) provides additional control when accelerating from a stop on a steep incline. The system helps to briefly hold the vehicle stationary while the driver transitions from the brake pedal to the accelerator.

Limited and SR5 models equipped with 4WD also feature standard Downhill Assist Control (DAC). This feature augments low-speed descending controllability by helping to maintain a constant slow speed and preventing wheel lockup, therefore allowing the driver to concentrate primarily on steering.

The 4Runner TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro models add the capability of an electronic-locking rear differential and Toyota’s Crawl Control (CRAWL) feature. The latter helps maintain a constant speed in low-speed, off-road situations, enhancing vehicle control when driving up, over or down obstacles. With the transfer case shifted into low range, CRAWL regulates engine speed and braking force to slowly move the vehicle forward or in reverse at one of the five driver-selectable, low-speed settings. This function allows the driver to focus on steering without having to also modulate the throttle or brake pedal in challenging terrain. TRD Pro models come equipped with Multi Terrain Monitor (MTM), which allows the driver to check the immediate surroundings for potential obstacles by simply pressing a button to display front-, rear- and side-camera views on the 8-inch multimedia screen. MTM is available on TRD Off-Road Premium.

As trail conditions change, the driver can adapt the vehicle using the standard Multi-Terrain Select system using a dial to choose a mode that matches prevailing surface conditions. The system will then adjust wheel slip control accordingly.

For example, on loose terrain such as mud and sand, above-normal wheel slip is permitted, allowing wheel-spin to work in the vehicle’s favor. The Mogul setting is suitable for extremely uneven terrain, such as V-ditches, slopes and ridges – uphill or down. In this mode, wheel slip is minimized and the system acts more like a limited slip differential. An overhead console groups the off-road control switches in one location.

TRD Pro Earns Its Name

The TRD Pro badge on any Toyota truck or SUV signifies the most off-road-capable vehicle in its respective line. For 2022, it will be offered in the unique color of Lime Rush, which will be added to exterior color options Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic. Black TRD alloy flow-form wheels are equipped with Nitto Terra Grappler tires, and specially tuned Fox internal bypass shocks and TRD-tuned coil springs yield an inch of front lift for improved trail-tackling capability.

The rear Fox shocks feature piggyback-style remote reservoirs to maintain damping performance over demanding off-road terrain. Delivering the best of both worlds, the shock tuning improves trail driving isolation and high-speed performance without compromising on-road comfort and steering response. Like other Toyota TRD Pro vehicles, the 4Runner TRD Pro features a 1/4-inch-thick aluminum front skid plate with red TRD lettering. The TRD roof rack is exclusive to 4Runner.

Inside, the TRD Pro features HVAC controls like the one found in the Limited grade, plus a standard moonroof and Premium Audio with JBL speakers featuring Clari-Fi™ technology. The 4Runner TRD Pro features a standard TRD-branded cat-back exhaust, which adds a powerful-sounding growl for the V6 engine.

On and Off-Road Suspension

For even greater off-road prowess, the TRD Off-Road grade can be equipped with Toyota’s optional Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS), which allows extended wheel travel at slow speeds for greater off-road capability and control. The KDSS system hydraulically adjusts the lean resistance provided by the stabilizer bars. Sway resistance is reduced for off-road driving to help minimize any tendency for wheel lift. On pavement, KDSS enables the bars to work conventionally, reducing body lean to enhance agility and control.

The 4Runner Limited, while certainly off-road capable, emphasizes everyday comfort and pavement handling with the X-REAS suspension system now also shared with the 2022 TRD Sport.

4Runner Style

The 4Runner exudes a rugged look in all grades yet maintains a timeless SUV style all its own. The SR5 and TRD models ride on 17-inch alloy wheels that are available in three designs: 6-spoke for SR5 models, 7-spoke for TRD Off-Road models and flow-form matte black alloy wheels for TRD Pro.

The TRD Off-Road and TRD Off-Road Premium grades are distinguished by color-keyed bumpers and overfenders, hood scoop and silver painted front and rear bumper accents. “TRD Off-Road” badges adorn the C-pillars. The Limited is the only 4Runner with a chrome-plated grille insert and chrome exterior trim. All 4Runner models have LED fog lights as standard equipment, with the TRD Pro featuring Rigid Industries LED fog lights.

Space to Roam

For carrying gear, 4Runner offers multiple options. With the second-row seats in use, the cargo area offers up to 47.2 cu. ft. of carrying space. If it’s just two people hitting the road or trail, folding the second row opens a cavernous 89.7 cu.-ft. cargo area. The second-row seats fold flat without having to remove the headrests.

The 4Runner SR5 and Limited grades offer available third-row seating, with a split 50:50 seat that folds flat. When so equipped, the 40:20:40 second-row seat has a one-touch walk-in function to provide easy access to the third row. The seats can be folded from the side or at the rear, using separate one-touch levers. The second-row seats, which include a center armrest, individually recline up to 16 degrees in four steps.

For power on the go, the 4Runner has a standard 120V outlet and two 12V outlets. The available pull-out cargo deck can support up to 440 pounds to make loading and unloading heavy items easier. It also provides seating for tailgating and campsite relaxation.

Toyota Value from Bumper to Bumper

All 4Runner grades are equipped with Smart Key with Push Button Start. The SR5 Premium and TRD Off-Road Premium add a significant comfort upgrade with SofTex®-trimmed seats, heated front seats and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The 4Runner Limited delivers a luxury experience with leather-trimmed, heated and ventilated 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat (with memory) and 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat, along with dual-zone automatic climate control. Limited grade’s standard front and rear clearance sonar system helps make parking maneuvers easier and safer. Standard on Limited grades is the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM), which provides a 360-degree bird’s-eye view to see objects around the 4Runner.

The Premium Audio system in the 4Runner Limited and TRD Pro adds Dynamic Navigation with 3-year trial, six JBL speakers with subwoofer and amplifier, Dynamic POI Search, Dynamic Voice Recognition, Remote Connect with 1-year trial, Wi-Fi Connect with up to 2 GB within 3-month trial and Destination Assist with 1-year trial.

Maserati Ghibli Operanera and Operabianca Special Editions

Maserati and Hiroshi Fujiwara, the Japanese godfather of street culture, come together for a partnership that crosses geographical and disciplinary borders into the unexplored territories of audacity, in a realm beyond which music is embodied in the form of a car and rule-breaking is allowed. Born from this collaboration and presented in an exclusive global première in Tokyo, an artwork in the form of a melodic duet, Operanera and Operabianca, two contrasting evocations of a Special Edition of the Maserati Ghibli.

The partnership is fruit of the capabilities of the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation program, which permits customers to create their own Maserati, tailored to their unique tastes. The car is more than a simple object, it becomes a tailor-made garment, to be proudly worn on the road and along the streets of the world as an extension of oneself, and a symbol of contemporary luxury. Hiroshi Fujiwara is a revered trendsetter, a maverick. Pioneer of the streetwear culture of Tokyo in the 1980s, he was one of the first DJs to import hip hop into the Land of the Rising Sun, and as a producer and musician he has worked with international recording stars. As a visual artist he specialises in expressing aspects of an urban atmosphere. Like Maserati, he has the ability to break down barriers and be audacious. In the spirit of ‘itanji’ which means ‘non-conformist’ two audacious brands have come together uniting Italian design and Japanese perfection to generate an unexpected limited edition car.

Maserati’s style and Hiroshi Fuijwara’s character share a universal recognisability. Today, the encounter between the visual codes of Maserati and the street style of Hiroshi’s brand, Fragment, gives birth to a creative partnership which is a duet in the truest sense of the term: Maserati meets Fragment.

A song on wheels, based on the Ghibli sports saloon in GranLusso trim and created in two exclusive looks. A total of 175 cars for global distribution: Ghibli Operanera and Ghibli Operabianca. They are a bitonal duo, one in a glossy/opaque black and the other in glossy white and opaque black.

The uniformity of colour applies not only to the exteriors but also to the body-colour wheels and door handles. The interiors, on the other hand, are in premium leather and Alcantara, with contrasting silver inserts for the vertical stitching and the Trident on the headrests. The seat belts are dark blue. The front grille is the iconic detail of this partnership: Fujiwara’s metropolitan style is reflected in a specific grille and in the logo, adapted uniquely for this edition. To complete the exteriors, Ghibli Operanera and Ghibli Operabianca are fitted with 20” Urano matte black wheels and a specific badge with the Fragment logo on the C pillar.

Last but not least, the code M157110519FRG appears underneath the three iconic side air ducts. This alphanumeric tag seals the partnership: the first four characters are the Ghibli ID code, the next six numbers record the date of the first meeting (5 November 2019) between Hiroshi and the Centro Stile Maserati, and the final three letters are the acronym of Fragment.

The launch of the car is accompanied by a capsule collection in limited quantities that will be available via the official Maserati channels. Iconic items designed in association with Hiroshi Fujiwara in the same unconventional spirit as the car itself.

Every adventure comes with a beginning, and in the case of Ferrari’s One-Off personalization program, the beginning came in the form of the SP1, the Ferrari F430-based one-off that Ferrari created for Japanese businessman Junichiro Hiramatsu, the former president of the Ferrari Club of Japan. Reports from a decade ago say that Hiramatsu was a big fan of the F100, a concept car designed by Italian design house Fiovaranti back in 1998.

Ferrari’s treatment of the SP1 isn’t as bombastic as some of the more recent one-off models it’s created, which makes you wonder if that was a product of Hiramatsu’s wishes or if Ferrari One-Off was still feeling its way through the endeavor.

Either way, the result still deserves the one-off label, in part because the minimal changes to the F430 somehow added up to a significantly more streamlined look. For those who may be confused, the SP1 is a completely different one-off animal from the Ferrari Monza SP1 Speedster that Ferrari released alongside its sibling, the Monza SP2, last year.

The 2011 Ferrari Superamerica 45 was one of the first official commissions by Ferrari One-Off, the department in charge of developing and building all the models on this list. It’s based on the Ferrari 599 GTB and inspired by the 2005 Ferrari 575M Superamerica and the 1961 Ferrari 400 Superamerica from which it gets part of its name.

The Superamerica 45’s one-off status was defined by the model’s one-piece carbon-fiber roof and glass rear window.

The whole roof panel swivels and retracts back under a carbon fiber trunk lid, which is a different treatment, too, compared to the pane of glass that Ferrari used on the 575. Under its hood sat a 6.5-liter V-12 engine that produced 661 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. The Superamerica 45 also came with unique details that eventually found their way to future production models, including the front and rear bumpers that Ferrari ended up using in the 599 GTO and the wheels that made their way into the Ferrari FF. The Ferrari Superamerica was commissioned by American real estate mogul Peter Kalikow, how bought this first Ferrari — the aforementioned 1961 400 Superamerica — 45 years before he commissioned the one-off model.

The 2012 Ferrari SP12 EC is probably the first one-off Ferrari that captured the world’s attention. Part of that can be traced to the fact that renowned rock star Eric Clapton was the one who commissioned Ferrari to build it. The SP12 traces its roots from the 458 Italia, which, at that time, was still only a year removed from hitting the market. Like the Superamerica 45 that preceded it, the SP12 EC featured design cues pilfered from a number of iconic Ferraris, none as obvious as the boxer-engined Ferrari 512BB.

The two-tone red upper body and black lower body schemes come from the 512BB, as does the long fence-like front grille that occupies the entire lower front section of the car.

The shape of the hood and the body are also nods toward the 512BB. The SP12 EC isn’t as sharp around the edges as the 512BB, and the headlights are actually borrowed from another iconic Ferrari: the Enzo. Taken together, the SP12 EC stands out as a classic example of Ferrari’s ability to blend the designs of its past models to create an entirely new one. It didn’t hurt, too, that the SP12 EC came with the 458 Italia’s 4.5-liter V-8 engine that produced 570 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. All told, there are reports that Clapton spent almost $4 million on the SP12 EC, a staggering sum for a Ferrari. Then again, the SP12 EC isn’t your typical Ferrari, either.

The Ferrari SP Arya was probably the first one-off Ferrari that made me realize that Maranello was on to something with this division. There’s actually not a lot to know about the Arya, only that it’s owned by Indian businessman Cheerag Arya, who wanted to create his dream Ferrari that’s based on the 599 GTO. Since the man already owned a 599XX at the time he commissioned Ferrari to build the SP Arya, I’d say Arya was on to something then.

Most of the fundamental details about the SP Arya remain true to the 599 GTO’s roots, though there were some modifications made to the Ferrari’s suspension and exhaust system.

Oh, and the Arya also featured the same 6.0-liter V-12 engine as the car it’s based on. The powertrain produced 661 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. If there’s anything about the SP Arya that still rings true to this day, it’s that this one-off has one of the best names of the bunch. I know it references its owner’s last name, but given what we know about the “Arya” name in pop culture these days, it’s taken on an entirely different meaning on its own.

The Ferrari F12 TRS was one of two one-off Ferraris that Maranello introduced in 2014. It’s also the first one-off to be based on the F12 Berlinetta, which became one of the go-to base models for future bespoke one-off Ferrari creations. The F12 TRS was completely ahead of its time in terms of its bodywork. You can look at it today and argue that it’s a brand new model. That’s how timeless its speedster-style silhouette looks. Part of it can be traced to the model from which it’s inspired from, the 1957 250 Testa Rossa. But the bigger and more important reason comes from the work put in by Ferrari’s engineers and designers.

The TRS’ low-set, wrap-around windscreen is one of its many design highlights, though you can argue that all off the one-off’s unique qualities come to a head with its 6.3-liter V-12 engine that produces a stomach-punching 740 horsepower and 508 pound-feet of torque.

Features aside, the F12 TRS also holds the distinction of being the only — so far — one-off Ferrari that somehow became a two-off Ferrari. That’s because the car’s unidentified owner actually had a second model built with flamboyant chrome silver paintwork.

The 2014 Ferrari SP America is probably my least favorite one-off Ferrari, but that’s not an indictment on Ferrari One-Off or Danny Wegman, the American supermarket tycoon who commissioned Ferrari to do it. Like the F12 TRS that came before it, the SP America is based on the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Unlike the TRS that was inspired by the 250 Testarossa, the SP America was inspired by what is, without question, the holy grail of all Ferrari models, the 250 GTO.

The SP’s reverse scallop rear section that integrates the round taillights are taken straight out of the 250 GTO.

The dramatically kicked-up rear spoiler is another design nod to the icon among Ferrari icons. A few subtle design cues also reference the 250 GTO, including the three openings on the hood and the slip vent aft that you can see in the rear-quarter glass. Power comes from the same 6.3-liter V-12 engine that sits under the hood of the F12 Berlinetta. The mill produces 740 horsepower and 508 pound-feet of torque. The SP America is still a stunner, but as more one-off Ferraris have arrived, this one doesn’t hold as much sway as it once did when it arrived.

Arguably the most retro-inspired design of any one-off Ferrari ever created, the Ferrari SP 275 RW Competizione arrived in 2016 at the behest of American dentist Rick Workman. This one-off is also based on the F12 Berlinetta, though the design inspiration behind its retrofitted appearance comes by way of the 1965 Le Mans-winning Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale.

The SP 275 RW Competizione’s pouty nose, bulgy wheel arches, and the abundance of slat vents alongside the car’s body are all design hallmarks of the iconic 275 GTB/C Speciale.

Even if it sits on the underpinnings of the F12 Berlinetta, the SP 275 RW Competizione actually uses the same 6.3-liter V-12 engine that’s found under the hood of the track-focused F12tdf. By virtue of boasting that modified mill, the SP 275 RW Competizione boasts an output of 769 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque. This one-off may look like it’s lost in time, but it sure as heck has enough power and performance capabilities to justify its billing as a true one-off Ferrari.

The Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta was the second car to come through Ferrari’s One-Off program. It was built for Edward Walson, the son of John Walson, otherwise known as the man who created cable television.

The P540 Superfast Aperta was also the first one-off Ferrari to trace its roots to the Ferrari 599.

Significant modifications were made to the car, including cutting parts of the roof and tweaking the chassis as a result of the roof getting cut. The gold finish on the body was an added touch, presumably to give the P540 Superfast Aperta an extra layer of shine to flaunt its one-off status. As flamboyant as it looked, the P540 Superfast was also fast and powerful. It came with a 6.0-liter V-12 engine that produced 612 horsepower and 448 pound-feet of torque. It was the most powerful series-production Ferrari of that time, making it a fitting candidate to serve as the basis of what’s become one of the nicest-looking one-off Ferraris to come out of Maranello.

Every so often, Ferrari creates a one-off whose roots are hard to pin down. Technically speaking, the Ferrari SP FFX is based on the Ferrari FF. That’s been established. But if you look at the actual one-off, it’s hard to shake off images of the California.

The front section, for example, looks a lot more aggressive than a series-production FF, specifically the inclusion of two vertical sections in the grille that completely changes the area’s entire aesthetics.

The rear end was also completely redesigned to accommodate a coupe-like tail. Then there’s the two-tone, red-and-white color scheme, which actually looks good on the one-off. There’s definitely more to the SP FFX than meets the eye, though. Power comes from the FF’s 6.3-liter V-12 engine that produces 651 horsepower and 504 pound-feet of torque. Perhaps the owner of this ride, an unidentified individual from Japan, decided that he wanted a Ferrari FF that looked more like a traditional coupe than a fastback model. Well, he certainly got his wish, didn’t he?

The Ferrari 458 MM Speciale is an interesting kind of one-off. It’s based on the 458 Speciale, and while you can still see hints of the 458 Speciale in the body, all the actual labels are completely bespoke, designed and created in-house by Ferrari Centro Stile using hand-finished aluminum.

The front and rear bumpers are also different by virtue of being made from carbon fiber.

The other notable Ferrari from which the 458 MM Speciale takes inspiration from is the 288 GTO. You see parts of that homage with the wrap-around windscreen. Ferrari’s Italian ancestry is also prominently displayed with the tricolore racing stripes running the length of the supercar. The 458 MM Speciale gets its power from the same 4.5-liter V-8 engine as the 458 Speciale. That engine produces 597 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. A certain British individual owns the one-off Ferrari 458 MM Speciale so the next time you find yourselves in the U.K., be on the lookout for this striking Ferrari.

The Ferrari SP38 Deborah is, hands down, my favorite among all one-off Ferraris ever made. It’s based on the 488 GTB and was designed with none other than the iconic Ferrari F40 in mind. You can find traces of the F40 scattered throughout the SP38 Deborah, none more prominent than the static rear wing that sits at the rear of the F40-like rear clamshell. Everything else about the SP38 Deborah’s design speaks to the skills of Ferrari’s designers.

The wrap-around windshield that we saw in the 458 MM Speciale makes a return appearance in the SP38 Deborah.

The slit-looking headlights exude aggressiveness, and the free-flowing nature of the whole body perfectly encapsulates how incredible the SP38 Deborah is to look at. It comes with the same powertrain as the 488 GTB — a 3.9-liter V-8 engine that produces 661 horsepower and 561 pound-feet of torque — but it’s an entirely different car in it of itself. There’s no word on who the owner of this one-off Ferrari is, but I’m willing to bet that whoever that individual knows someone named “Deborah.”
